Funk/Soul Band Arrangements

At my school I started a Funk/Soul band and as such have been spending time arranging popular Funk & Soul songs.

Songs include:

• Blue Suede – Hooked on a Feeling

• Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk

• Earth Wind & Fire – September

• James Brown – I Got You (I Feel Good)

• Kool & the Gang – Celebration

• Kool & the Gang – Jungle Boogie

• Spencer Davis Group – Gimme Some Lovin

• Stevie Wonder – Superstition

The song arrangements are for the following instruments:

• FluteAlto Saxophone x 2

• Tenor Saxophone (some songs)

• Bb Trumpet

• Piano/Keys

• Guitar

• Bass Guitar

• Drum Kit

• Percussion (some songs)

• Vocals (i haven’t included the vocal lines in the arrangements as we use the YouTube tracks and lyric sheets for this reference)
  

I have arranged them using the free online notation software MuseScore

(www.musescore.org – to download this great freeware program for Mac & PC)

To access these files please click on the following DropBox link and you will gain access to all the master arrangement files. You can export each individual part by clicking File/Export Parts from the menu and you will export each individual part as a PDF to distribute to your bands.
